Introducing "Iwa Neko Woman," a concrete sculpture that exemplifies a unique shaping technique. Translating to "Rock Cat Woman" in Japanese, this figure sculpture portrays a woman emerging proudly from the rock she is perched upon, symbolizing strength, fortitude, and a steadfast attitude. Crafted using an innovative procedure that involves custom mixing a concrete color, which is then hand sculpted, carved out and bonded to the rock. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of traditional sculptural techniques as it gives it a different texture and form. Like the rock she emerges from, the woman depicted in this sculpture is resilient and unyielding in the face of adversity, embodying the timeless strength and fortitude of the human soul.
